Daniel Gorringe (Norwood/SA) - Draft Profile

198/85 inside ruckman
Capable of sustaining a ranking of 3-10

Selling points are outstanding tapwork, mobility/clean hands, vertical leap, good feeds/vision from and in traffic

Queries over lack of aerial marking presence (plays a bit like a small around the ground) and strength/physical size – he has shown capability of taking contested marks, but needs to do so more often as a big man.

Like the large majority of developing ruckman is lacking in endurance – only averaged 10 disposals and 1.4 marks per game in the 2010 U18 Championships

Has the potential to develop into a genuine number one ruckman that can direct the ball to his midfielders with great effect and offer plenty around the ground in terms of mobility, feeding and goal kicking - possibly a top 5 ruck in the competition at best – however still a fair way off AFL so be patient !

Should be kept away from AFL action for his first season - needs about 15kg to be his ideal playing weight - which will likely take upto 5 pre-seasons.
