Anonymous from 14th oct 7.59: Not a bad first round phantom mate. I'm a Swans fan tho and as stoked as I would be to get Cunnington with pick 6, I dont see Roos letting Lewis Jetta get past him with their pick 14. They interviewed him a couple of times at Draft Camp.
And I'm with you Anonymous before this comment. Update your site already!
1-Scully 2-Trengrove 3-Rohan (Just over Martin) 4-Morabito 5-Cunnington 6-Talia (Who will they go for? Tall/Small? Will decide the rest of the draft) 7-Lucas 8-Tapscott 9-Vardy (Need a ruckman, best avaiable) 10-Jetta (Over Martin cos he fits culture) 11-Butcher 12-Carlisle (Best tall still available) 13-Martin (Bargin pick) 14-Bastinac 15-Cristensen 16-Sheppard? 17-Black?
Lock in picks 1-2-4-7-8 the rest will all be sorted on the day!
Sorry for the lack of updates, guys - I've been a bit hardpressed for time over the last month and a bit.
anon, I try my best, but running this site is a 1 man show and there are other things that come first like family, uni, work etc. as this is only a hobby and the money made is slim to very minimal at best.
I will post most my draft profiles up over the next few weeks and some more videos from the TAC GF and hopefully the WAFL League finals if I get time.
I will probably put up final rankings (and possibly a phantom draft) the fortnight-week before the draft - as I am chopping and changing them a bit ATM.
jarrod allmond 19y played every game for Woodville West Torrens this yr, won best 1st yr player, 2nd in club B&F lost by 2 votes only cause they included the finals. hard ball winner, good left foot, runs all day.
Every one says Jetta at 7 but I have a different option without him there. Not sure where Adelaide will head with their pick. Perhaps a tall forward or another midfielder? The dogs are also interesting with the same question asking of them! Port might go for the key forward of Black over a ruckman of Vardy but picks 16 and 17 could go either way round!
I think seeing Melbourne already have Watts and Jurrah that they'll go for 2 mids with there first 2 picks. the next interesting pick is Butcher who, with the age of Pavlich and no other real forward may go to Freo at 4. Having said that the same applies to North, Butcher may also go here, as they already have Swallow and Ziebell in the midfield. Butcher may also go at 9 to Port as this is more than likely Tredrea's last season. Port have the luxury of picking a mid and KPP at these picks. If Butcher slides to 10 don't expect Essendon to pick him up as they picked up Michael Still last year at no: 55. They will more than likely toss up between Melksham & Lucas.
You have essendon picking 3 mids with picks 24, 26 & 33.... and then Tapscott who is a forward/ midfielder. I doubt very much they'll all go to essendon
For this site to truly be a "number one source of draft information and opinion", there needs to be a detailed phantom draft up by now.
Some of these first round predictions have been posted by people who have no clues at all. There's one that doesn't even have Morabito going in the first round - what's the point of reading that person's opinions when they clearly have no idea?
Without a detailed phantom draft, this site is half-baked.
WHAT ABOUT BYRON SUMNER???HE SEEMS TO BE UNDER EVERY ONE'S NOSES AND CAN BE A REAL DARK HORSE IN THE DRAFT NOT ALOT OF ATTENTION BUT ALL THE GOODS HE WILL GO BEFORE ALOT OF THE LADS HERE THAT YOU GUYS HAVE PICKED KEEP A EYE ON HIM HE IS ONE OF THE BEST BALANCED & SKILLED KIDS GOING AROUND AND I HEAR HIS UNCLES ARE REAL CHAMPIONS TOO IN WHICH HE HAS THREE NOT THE BURGOYNE'S THEY ARE HIS COUSINS BUT THE SUMNERS HIS OLDEST UNCLE HAS WON 7 INDIGINOUS PREMIERSHIPS, WAS A CAPTIAN OF AN AMATURE LEAGUE SIDE IN ADELAIDE WHICH THEY (HE) WON EVERY GAME IN THE SECOND ROUND OF FOOTBALL AND A PREMIERSHIP IN THAT SAME YEAR IS ALSO CLOSLEY RELATED TO STEVEN MICHEALS THE WEST AUSTRALIN LEDGEND WHO WON THREE SANDOVER MEDALS SO HE HAS VERY TALENTED FOOTBALL BLOOD. DOES ANYONE KNOW THAT HE PLAYED ALL THREE LEVELS IN THE ONE YEAR 6 GAMES IN UNDER 18'S AND WON THE BEST AND FAIREST ASWELL AS PERFORMED WITH HONORS NOTED BY LEGEND BRENTON PHILLIPS IN THE UNDER 18'S CHAMPIONSHIPS.BYRON IS A REAL TALENT THAT WILL GO ALONG WAY AND IF THE TOP PICKS DONT GO BYRON WILL SO KEEP AN INTEREST ON THIS YOUNG INDIGINOUS CHAMPION.

Geez, this is shit. The draft is the only thing keeping AFL fans interested this year and the order is finalised.
ReplyDeleteWhat's the point in coming to a site like this if there is not a detailed phantom draft up by now?
Get it together. If you set up a site devoted specifically to the draft, you need to be on top of it.
