Caleb Tiller (Murray Bushrangers/Vic Country) - Draft Profile

Height: 188.9cm
Weight: 75.3kg
Preferred foot: Right
Playing Style: Outside medium utility

Potential: 5.5-6.5/10

Strengths

> Versatility

> Clean hands and sound ball control

> Neat short distance chip passer

> Gets his hands free well in tackles

> Neat user via hand

> Good ethic – chases and provides defensive pressure

> Well balanced

Weaknesses

> Lacks hurt factor

> Kicks are high trajectory and lack power - too much hang time

> Poor engine –low 12s beep test and lacks a yard of pace

> Versatile – but what AFL role could he fulfil? – too small for KPP, doesn’t have qualities that suit any of the non KP

> Reach disadvantage for height

> Skinny

Overall

Tiller is a neat looking player but to me lacks enough draftable qualities, has little upside and doesn’t pass the important ‘what AFL role?’ test. At best I think he could be a borderline starting XXII player that plays a utility role off the bench, at worst someone who won’t be able to impact beyond the 2nds. He’s bottom-aged so must be drafted in the national – personally he wouldn’t come into my considerations.
