Justin Monaco (East Fremantle/WA) - Draft Profile

191/86 Inside key or general defender
Capable of sustaining a ranking of 8-20 within an AFL list
Similar style to Sam Fisher

Selling points are his reading of the play, disposal accuracy and reliability, decision making, rebound from defence and pace off the mark

Tends to back his reading of the play to outmark his opponent through better reading of the flight rather than playing a reactive, close checking and spoiling game.

Dual WA U18?

I foresee Monaco developing into a good versatile 2nd or 3rd tall defender that can play tight on a key position player or a medium, whilst also being able to provide some good quality rebound and move the ball reliably from defence.

He has the potential to play some games next season and is about 5-7kg away from his ideal AFL playing weight, which will likely take 2-3 pre-seasons to achieve.

2010 WAFL Colts (4 games) 15D, 2M, 1T
