  1. Royal Eagle Colts GF Match Report

Coyne is definately worth a rookie selection his dash of half back was very very good tonight.

Up to half time the game was of a very very high standard, after half time Claremont blew the game open early in the third.

Little Lewis Broome, had a purple patch kicked three goals in a row ended up with 5 for the game.

Nat Fyfe finished with 6 in a very good classy display he doesn't miss on goal.

Ryan Neates with some wonderful blocks and sheppards from team mates kicked goal of year from the back half of the centre bounced ball 7 times weaved through traffic and kicked truly.

He had a very good game, Travis Colyer showed dash but wasn't has efective as others.

Harley Bennell reminds me of a cross between a Peter Burgone and Peter Matera, he is just so special a player.

When he went into the middle Peel played there best footy, reads the ball so well and is electric hits the pack at pace and just weaves past players lovely too watch.

He spent some time on Nat Fyfe and like every other player on Fyfe was beaten in the air.

Aaron Black was good though the ball delivery to him was crap alot of the time in the second half, as Peel broke down on the half foward line.

He spent time in the ruck and put polenz-saw foward but that move didn't work

Considering he wasn't going to play until yesterday because of the flu,
    it was a good performance.

Kieran Butcher reminds me of Matt Priddis gets the tough ball and wins clearances.

Blayne Wilson had a down night, was alright but wasn't his usual self.

Peel missed Mitch Brown big time as his size at half foward would of been important.

Rhett Mason missed some shots on goal in the third that peel needed him to kick, to get back in the game.(look for the eagles to rookie him)

Devin McFarlane has a lovely left foot, and wasn't used enough when he got open.

Gerrick Weedon did his chances of getting drafted a boost was very good,
when in the middle and on the outer wing his pace troubled Peel.

Sonny Dann provided good dash from defence.

David Thomson was good for Claremont he must be a brother of James Thomson who we had on our list, as they look very similar.

Claremonts pace and outside game broke the game open and they piled on the goals in the second half to win easily.

Sat next to Mitch Duncan's dad at the game and had a good chat.

Mitch was there also sitting with Kane Lucas those two are very good friends.

It was just a pity they couldn't sustain the first half of the game, as it was a better standard game than the matches I saw at the under 18 championships.

But overall even with the blow out in the scoreline a enjoyable game which showcased the high standard of WA colts at the moment.
